Finding an electronics liquidation source that offers units by the pallet or by the truckload can be a headache. Many resellers just like you are searching offline and online for liquidating companies that specialize in liquidating merchandise that are customer returned, damaged, devalued, and overstock.

Finding the Right Product for Resale

First things first, you have to do research on the items you want to purchase for resale. There are many programs online that you can determine the demand for the item before purchasing the pallet/truckload.
1. What is Google Trends?

Google Trends is an online resource that allows people to compare the search volume of a keyword. You can compare more than one keyword to see how they stack up between each other, and you can also get recent news and update that might affect the outcome of the trend i n the future. Just enter a keyword in the search box, a chart will appear that represents the growth of that particular keyword. If you see a rising slope for your keyword, then that's a good indication that the item is still in demand.

2. Ebay Pulse
Ebay Pulse shows you lists of popular search terms people have keyed in for Ebay's stores, products, marketplace, etc. Use this tool to figure out what is hot on the market on Ebay. Most likely what people are searching for online, they are also looking for them elsewhere on the internet. As you can see from the image above what the top 10 most searched for keyword is on Ebay. This tool is mainly for online resellers or people that are advertising their brick and mortar store online. So you've found a great product with a promising trend and everyone is bidding for one on Ebay. Figuring out what type of keywords to optimize for your online advertisements is crucial . Overlooking this step can cost you tons of money in Adwords cost.

Microsoft AdCenter Labs is a great tool to determine a keyword's commercial or non-commercial intent. The closer the keyword's probability is to 1 the higher the intent that a user is typing that keyword to either purchase or to get information. For Example, Go to the AdCenter Labs site and make sure the radio button is checked off for "query":

I going to enter the keyword "systems" in the search box and hit "go":

The results for the keyword "systems" resulted in a non-commercial Intention of 0.97. That means that 97% of the users searching this term is not looking to buy. That's pretty high for you to create an adwords campaign that is not producing conversions without knowing the commercial intent of the keyword. Now I used this keyword as an example only for testing, I sure hope no one actually uses this keyword in their ppc ads.

Here's the result when I add the keyword "PS3 systems":

The keyword phrase for "PS3 systems" has a commercial intent of .75. That means 75% of the people online searching this term is looking to buy. Cha-ching!.
